I was reading that a Calcium deficency can cause a reduced ability for the plant to cope with heat a stress, anyone else know this to be true?

Ive heard the same.

Did you get a sudden heat wave? (if there outside Plants)

if you had a calcium deficiency bad enough to make the plants that susceptible to heat, your leaves would look like they had freckles.
it looks like classic heat stress, not sure what else could cause those symptoms....maybe exposure to some kind of chemical spray? close to any agricultural equipment? they sprayed for bugs or anything in your area recently?

maybe something in the ground? the canoeing looks like heat stress, but that tip burn looks like some kind of contaminent. if the heat was bad enough to burn the tips like that your plant would already be dead

Id had probs like this before.. of leaves curling and tips drying up.
1 time was when I was having root probs.(the roots travelling through the soft soil then trying to break through into the harder heavier soil)
2 looked a bit different but in the heavy rain I found leaves folded and inside where spider/catapilars .
Try some Cal < mag

Thanks for the input, I'm convinced now that it's a low ph issue, because this all started after a lot of rain and the rain here is pretty acidic. Plan on crushing dolomite lime into a powdered an mixing it with the water to raise the ph

You should be able to buy it in a powdered form.
It will raise the ph fairly quickly and will add lots of Cal/Mag so be carefull of your dose. Its much better to use it a month or so before planting if using in ground plots.
GL man and keep us informed
