New growth appears deformed after topping

New growth on my Girl Scout cookie clone was topped 4 days ago and the new growth is a bit deformed, ph is 5.8 and soil is fox farm w some humus and other natural microbes. Temp is 71 humidity 25-35% and plant it always 1-2 inches from t5 6500k. All other plants appear fine and deformation free.

Usually IME this happens when you cut parts of the plant off, which reduces the need for nutrients, which most people don't realise.

This reduction in nutrient requirements (because there's less plant) can cause twisted and weirdly formed growth.

Once new growth takes off the weirdness should go away.

If you are supplying nutrients then back off the strength a little bit.

Thanks but I don't use nutrients per say just microbes, could those have the se effect?

The microbes convert organic matter into nutrient ions for uptake by the plant.

Could just be the plant was still up taking for the whole plant not what part was left thus causing an over fert sign.

No biggy it will recover just fine.

Thanks a ton man, I can rest easy now haha. One more question if you would, do you think various microbes are enough w a good compost tea or are actual nutrient mixes from the store a necessary element? I'm just learning at this point but want to stay as organic as possible, thanks

I'm a chemical guy.

But if you want to stay organic then teas are fine.

As far as I'm aware you can blend your teas according to growing phase but I wouldn't even try to tell you a recipe.

okay thanks, there are many local organic compost farmers where I am at so it's super easy to get my hands on vegan teas so I figured it would be easier to just stay organic. Thanks... Mind if I ask what nutes you use anyway?
