new grower_lighting question

hi i just want to introduce my self, i am a first time grower, and have been reading, rlu for a while now, and have began my grow, hopefully ill get pics up, since im a poor college kid, and hope to start this as a journal soon, now my question that i have, i have tried to search but maybe asking wrong, but when is the ideal time to switch from 24 hour light to 18/6 lighting? would you wait till the transfer has been done? thank i appreciate the help, like i said a newb question sorry lol thank you all for the great info keep it up

Hey! Don't really matter mate. Both 24/0 and 18/6 will keep your plant in veg. I prefer 18/6, it give your plants time to rest and focus on root growth, which is important for bigger plants and nutrient intake. Good luck with the grow!

thanx i appreciate it alot, so it wont realli stress the plant if i switch to 18/6 before switching it to a pot? right now theyre growing in the bottom half of a 2 liter soda bottle

How many do you have? And how big are they? And no it won't stress them out to change it to 18/6.

i have 3 right now, i would say a couple of inches in length, the inner leaves are starting to grow, i tihnk i wil just keep them at 24 for a bit, and just get better cfl's
