New grower needs guidance! help! Pics included!

My 15 clones of skunk #1 were cut on March 2nd, making them 11 days old today. I am a first time clone caregiver, I've been trying to keep the humidity above 75%, and the temps. between 70 and 80 at the very most. I've had them under a humidity dome, and have been giving them ph balanced water every couple days. I gave them 1 foliar feeding of half strength clonex clone solution at about the 5th day. I have also given them a feeding of thrive alive the day before yesturday, both foliar and in the soil. They are 8.5" tall at the top of the highest one, with the lights about 40" above the tops of the plants. I'm using only half my lights at the moment, 4 of the 8 lights, I have the badboy t5's at 4' x 8 bulbs. I also have 2 humidifiers runing, one that puts out a lot of moisture into the air, and one that blows pretty well and is acting as my circulation fan for now. I have an ostberg inline fan sucking air out from the top of the room, I also have a charcoal filter 6x16" that i have yet to install. I'm growing in a 4'9"x4'9"x6'.5" grow-lab. The first signs of roots have shown up today, as seen in one of the pics to follow.


So I have some things happening that I'm worried about, here's my concerns.....

yellowing of leaves, 3 of the yellow leaves had fallen off before i took these pics, some higher up leaves curling, a few spots that looks like nute burn? any guidance on what I can do to correct these problems? or am I worrying about this too much?

Should I have all 8 lights on? When should the humidity domes come off? How often do I water them and with how much water? Foliar feeding still? When do I give more nutrients, and what brands are best? I let them have 6 hours of darkness a night while I sleep is that ok, or should they have 24 hours full on light? Whats the best electronic pH meter that takes cost into consideration?

You need a dome.

Either get a few empty soda bottles and make mini terariums, 2 ltr bottles or even a clear storage tub flipped over so light can penatrate.
Mist the clones and the lid heavily...

Clear beer/plastic cups work well too. Place the clone in a colored cup and tap the clear cup on top.
Poke one or two very small holes and mist heavily.

Do you see where I'm going with this ?

Pitch a tent over your tray with plastic wrap, mist heavily.. etc etc etc

my only suggestion is that you may be keeping them too wet... that's what it looks like to me cause some of them are yellowing a lot. how often are you watering them

24 hours of light and the dome only comes off when you mist.
I use a seaweed additive to my clone mister and it feeds the clones through the leaves.

I use all of Fax farms nuting system and their first week nutes are also their clone a seedling nutes.
Some water it down the first couple of times.

I water the tray as needed. I never let it get completly dry. With a seedling heating pad, I water the tray every 3 days.
In mine it's about a cup and a half.

ok, I've had them in a dome just took it off to take the pics, I have a dome that fits the 10"x20"tray they're in. When should the dome come off?

A lot of people cut the leaves down a little so the plant will focus on root growth instead of leaf growth.

see how the tips on those clones are cut? I think another reason is if the leaves start to "yellow" on the tips.....they get cut off so the plant stops tryin to repair it (the leaf) and starts focusing on growing roots more. Here's another image like the one above See how some of the leaves on those clones were cut and some weren't? Guess that's the reason. Got rid of dying tips.

The leaves were cut just not all of them.

What about the curling leaves? And the distance I have my lights at? and should all lights be on instead of just 4 of the 8 bulbs?

Doesn't your dome have any adjustable breather holes ? You can cut down on moisture by letting a little air in.

If they've rooted at all leave the dome off now.

I only use 4 of 8 bulbs for a while on clones/seedlings.

to me 40" is far too far away. I would bring it down to wherever the heat is bearable for the plants. You can bring it down over a couple days, and then turn all the lights on, to give it several days to adjust to new light intensity. I would imagine being less than 12" away is ideal.

It does have breather holes, don't you want the humidity to be up around 80-85%? A couple of the plants show roots now, but most are still hidden from view.

Ok, I'll try that out. I was afraid it'd be too intense for them that close, with all 8 lights on it's damn near blinding! I have 8, 4 foot long, 54w, T5's.

So i brought the lights down to about a foot above the domes. Tried it out with all 8 lights on and it got too hot up to 87 degrees, so I left it at 4 on. They're looking even better today, another one is showing roots too.

3 more roots are showing today making that a total of 7/15 rooted!

Another 2 rooted today, a total of 9/15, I think I'm going to transplant some of them today and let the others stay in the domes until they show roots.

They're doing ok, still yellowing a couple more bottom leaves fell off. I'll go take some pics. and post em here in a min.
