I'm not sure what to make of this. I am about a week into the flowering stage of my plants and noticed that most of the leaves on the stem are curling down. Need some ideas of what could be causing this.



 
The tiny leaves that stick out from the buds are often a little squiggly. If you want to be sure, high Ph can cause gnarled fresh growth so you could check the Ph of your soil, water and/or fertilizer mixes. Overwatering can cause temporary leaf curling as well. The plant looks wonderful from the pics.
 
Thank you for the quick response. I did notice that the ph was at 8 and I'm working on bringing that back down to 7 by adding lemon juice to the fertilizer mix. Overall all the plants do look healthy but I just wasn't sure if the curling was normal
 
Try to find an acidic fertilizer to make a tea with. Much of the dissolved fertilizer compounds will be deposited in the soil when you fertilize and will cause a more long-term change in the soil Ph than lemon juice. One easy to find acidic fert is manure.

I might be a newbie, but I think that the fan leaves, aka, the ones that count, are standing to attention well. Either my grow just plain sucks or your leaves are perfectly awsome looking...
 
Thanks for the info fellas. I had a feeling I was worrying myself over nothing. My bro still thinks theres something wrong with them but I'm sure they're fine. I'm still going to try to bring the Ph down to neutral where it should be.

Its the strain, not all strains have those small leaves around the bud like that, some have just mini fan leaves. so maybe he thinks it looks odd, like my vortexes had like 3 leaves vs 5 which were large sot he shape looked odd but they were in fact the strain. I think he thinks marijuana is supposed to look like what he saw once before and doesn't realize the amazing diversity in this species.
