  • First, off I would like to say, that i am new to growing, and have never grown before, but have researched the topic for a couple months now. The first picture is my grow room theory. It is 2'x6'x3' to grow 5 plants. The room for plants in this grow room are 4 1/2' to 5'. I will use a HPS High Spectrum 600w Bulb, or 1000w Bulb for maximum canopy penetration. The light will also be adjustable and lead to the exhaust through duct foil. The intake will be 5'' by 3" carbon filter and outtake will be a 5" by 5" carbon filter, both will have 120mmx120mmx20mm fans, that produce 60 cfm. The room be painted white, have a electronic humidity and temperature monitor, and have 2-3 fans for air circulation . The second picture is a 3'x2'x2' box for drying and seedling/clones. For drying this will be fitted with a dehumidifier, in complete darkness, with 3 columns and 2 rows of wire. For seedling/clones there will be 2 power strips, each containing 6 23w bulbs, that produce roughly 300w of light, and also adjustable. For both parts it will have 2 3" by 5" carbon filters with 2 80mmx80mmx25mm fans for a cfm of 30. The room will be equipped also with an electronic temperature and humidity monitor.

I have NEVER done anything, but research, so and advice an criticism would be nice. Also please help me in fixing any design errors.

    Thank you

you dont need carbon filters on your intake. and id say for that small space id use a 600w hps (maybe even 400w if heat is an issue), the 1000w will be way to hot and a bit of overkill. id also recomend getting a cool tube if you havent already. you could exhaust your main grow chamber using a cool tube with a 600w bulb, a 6inch inline fan and a large passive intake, you can usually buy a fan and filter combo that match up. i have a tent myself that is 2x3x5 and ive done a lot of research into what to use for it, so that'd be my advice at this point

I agree I would run a 600 with a cool tube exhaust and a little oscillating fan temps should stay good use panda paper to line your closet and put some one the floor to will help reflect some of your light back upwards

agree with all the above..

mylar as a reflector on everything...

probably want to FIM them to keep them shorter, 6 feet is pretty short with high powered lights like that.. but def can be done.

good luck man, its sooo exciting. take notes too, you learn from all the mistakes you will make.. and after a few months it gets pretty hazy, esp after you smoke up your first harvest!!
