New grow rolling, just some bag seed. help me along

Got a new grow rolling. This little sprout is about 2-3 days old. The stem is really stretching but today is the first time ive put it under the lights. what should my lighting schedule be right now for veg. 18/6? or 12/12?

also i have the pot as close to the lights as i can get. does everything look ok? i do have to find a way to contain more light but there is a photography reflector above the lights it directs alot of light towards the plant.

Setup is 8 cfls
3 2700k 23 watts
4 5000k 23 watts
1 5500k 65 watts

temps around 70 degrees in my closet with a fan blowing across the top of the plant. im going to add in another plant soon but i have some still germinating.

I would use 24/0 for veg stage when using flo's , plants grow more vigorously under 24 hour light , the only reason to drop to 18/6 is when using more power thirsty lights , HID's to save on power.... hope this helps...
If the stretch gets out of control you can bury the stem deeper with no ill affect or even on re-pot
12/12 is used when ready to induce flowering....

Is there anyway you could connect the Socket blocks so the bulbs are pointing downward towards the plants ?
you could cut off those cable ties , and re - do them after twisting them around,
your plant(s), will get alot more of the light from what i can see in pic1,
Use a spacer inbetween the socket blocks so the bulbs do not touch each other,
i would do this,
as you add plants you can enlarge the spacer for more coverage...

well i assumed id get more light output with them turned to the sides but i could point them all down. none are touching the pic probably just looks that way from the angle.

No i meant if the bulbs touch when you twist the blocks and hang them downward ,
imo it would be better.

You get more light from side of bulb rather than end.

Why would you want bulbs to touch? Wasted light.

Put a slow fan gently blowing on it.

well i turned them like this but i still think it gets good light. the reflector really helps. and now the big bulb is liked 3" from the plant. yes it looks ghetto but its in a closet no reason to church it up lol

3 days from seed 1 day under lights
temps on the actual plant are probably running about 80f little high so may need to drop the pot away from the lights or add one more fan, water is drying from soil in about 12 hrs under the lights. maybe adding about 2-3oz of water each time. am i on the right paths?

what do you guys water with? a cup is all i have right now.

Alright added in 2 more sprouted seeds with my other plant. Had to re arrange the whole light and reflector setup.

I take it those tubs you are using for pots have drainage holes in them ?
This may seem obvious but a friend just killed a tray of root riot clones as he forgot to unplug the drainage holes in the trays they come with ....

get rid of the clay pots , get taller containers that will let the roots travel and put more soil up to the bottom of the seed leaves , clonex is spot on about the lights , good luck and rep for the bag seed i am a huge fan

small update. bigger plant is 11 days in the others are about 6 days in.

ok update guys. small problem the 2 smaller plants had outgrown there pots so i transplanted them.
everything is in 8" pots now.
the 2 smaler plants are 12 days in the larger one 17 days in.

the smaller 2 are looking weary in the smaller pots they had started to fold and leaves turn yellow on edges.
think they will survive? how does the bigger one look?

not sure if this thread is getting much attention where i put it
