i just planted my first set of seeds a week ago, i planted three germinated seeds, and onlyhave seen two come up :-( their about 4-5 inches big so far.
i was wondering what i all have to do to make these things grow.
i plan on taking them outside in about 10-11 weeks.
i just want them to grow like a normal plant should grow lol
but i am always seeing all this talk about all this crazy stuff with lighting and feeding/watering.
and im just wondering whats needed.
i have them under 24/0 light right now with just a normal heatlamp, kinda like what ya see in snake tanks.

anything that anyone can help me with would be great.
anything on feeding/watering. and what im supposed to do after so many days or weeks or if im supposed to do anythign untill i put them outside

thanks

You really need to read the grow faq its at the top of the page about the left side...I enjoyed reading all parts of the growfaq it teaches you so many things.
Heat lamp no good..if you want to go with inexpensive try cfls (read growfaq)..you're cute with wanting your plant to just grow like a normal plant...you really need to read and think this through...depending on what type of lighting you get your plants could be huge in 10-11 weeks then what are you going to do then? Is that when you going to flower??? If you are growing because you want something in your garden, then dont read anything...and just let it grow "normal" but I will tell you that every plant I have has to be cared for regardless of plant type....that is normal..

i have read up on many many different sites about growning and different ways and almost anything i could to find more info on this. it was very helpful. the difference between the way i think about my growning and the way other people may, is that i dont really care if they are the best and the greatest plants. im not going to go out and spend hundred dollars plus to make them all great. i have a normal "snake heat lamp" even though i was told its not good, seems to be working just fine. i have notice 1 or 2 burns on the leaves which i backed the light off a hair and its all going good. stinks up the house like crazy though :( lol but thats allright. i consider this something im doing on my spare time. and anything i get at the end will be a bonus and i will be happy with. i have a few pictures i will try to upload to show you how my plants are doing. but right now they are already around 4 1/2 ft tall. the only thing i wish i did was put more soil in the bottom so the roots would have more to, hold on to i guess. i just started to change the lighting to a 12/12. i have read alot about how to grow, and i was wondering if anyone else would have any tips for me that are the basic of basic. im not looking for anything fantsy and very cost effective. i will post some pics asap.

thanks

here are some pictures i attached, what do you guys think about these, remember my limited money source, space, and amateur knowledge, and of course my obvious amateur attutitude towards the quality. getting anything from these would be great just would like to know how im doing. and im sorry if i piss anyone off by not doing it the right way or not really giving a shit to do it the right way. im trying with what i got and thats it

thank you

EDIT: btw there are actually two plants if anyone was wondering.

7 WEEKS OLD RIGHT NOW

sorry, this is liek 5th edit lol. but for about 4 days now i have been trying to cut the light to 12/12. when its dark its completly dark, i have read everywhere that any light during dark time is really bad. so i make sure i cover the cracks with towels and whatnot. but what i was wondering was, i went out a bought an outlet timer, which i messed up and bought a "random" vacation timer.... damn.. i DO NOT use that, but for the last few days i have been just turning on and off the lights about every 12 hours. i was wondering if it was bad for the plants to have like 12 hours light one day, then 16 the next, and maybe 14 the next, or even 18, i know i havent been right on schuelde as my work is back and forth. i will go out and get a timer this week, but i didnt know if i should just keep them on a 24/0 light right now till i do. and i really dont want them to get any bigger, there almost getting too tall for the closet lol
