Well this is my first proper grow and I hope i'll get it right (with the help of u guys, im sure i'll do ok).
The initial plan was to grow outside on my balcony, but i overlooked certains areas. For one, I live in a tropical country and the weather has been somewhat quite erratic lately, therefore my babies arent getting enough light, thus making them stretch a little. With that said, i decided to get one of those cheap portable wardrobe thingies and make it into a small grow tent. I do however put the plants on my balcony when there is sun and if permitted...stealth is the most key here for me.
Another important factor would be that hydroponics is really not a big thing here so supplies are really hard to come by...i cant get all the proper equipment unless I ship them to me (most likely only international). I had to use those reflective car windscreen thingies to keep the light in ther cabinet....haha.
Apart from Miracle Gro and Schultz, the only readily available potting mixes and fertz/nutes are local ones only...will keep u guys informed if i do manage to find other brands.
Current setup would be:
Makeshift grow tent
x1 true 55w CFL daylight 6400k
Generic potting mix
x2 Nirvana auto bubble seeds
Fan for air
have 2 nutes on hand with me for my other plants which are Schultz all purpose plus 10-15-10, and Miracle grow all 24-8-16 (if im remember correctly). Which should i use or should i use them even?
the babies are on day 6 since seed...very early i know, but i would appreciate any help or advice. Currently feeding them only with mineral water, and plan to do so until week 3...or should i give them 1/8 dosage on middle week 2?
Temperature is about 30c give or take during day, with humidity around 57-65..
I also plan to buy one of those soil meters to check on soil PH and water level, which i will buy somewhere across this week when i have the time to.
