New everything

Greeting all,
I'm on my second grow. I recently ordered and received a 400w hps kit from HTG. In addition, they also sent me three samples of nutes: Soul Synthetics Amino Aide, Roots Organics Trinity and Soul Synthetics Big Swell.
My first attempt was done with only CFL's and Schults with Molasses. Turned out fanstatic! 2 plants gave me 2.5 o's.Used a total of 8 CFLs and a made a fixture out of wood and old light sockets. I will say this: molasses will definitely increase weight and density.
I have a few questions:
1-Is there anyone with experience using the nutes i listed and what was the outcome?Any suggestions on mixing them? I also have GH Micro and Bloom, & Atami Rootbastic. And Superthrive
2- I don't have an MH, so can I just use HPS for the entire grow? If so, what can I expect as far as growth?I'm currently running it 12/12 because I have one already in flower and my veggies are about 4" high right now. I do have an extra 150 hps collecting dust. Can I use that on the veggies 18/6 to veg longer?
3-Grow area is 9' long x 5' high x 3' wide. I have no way to run ducting but am running two fans. one is inside pushing air out. The other is out side pushing clean air in. Will this suffice? I havelight on during day so i can keep the door open and at night, its completely dark. Will this be okay?

Don't know about the free stuff. Reckon I'll decide what I want to experiment with in my grow room, and they never give you enough anyway....but that's me.
HPS will do the whole grow. And 150 HPS should keep a few in veg.
If the fans are either end of the room, that's great. How about another to move air about and strengthen stems etc.?
Never get bored of seeing grow rooms either.

I plan to purchase another fan pretty soon.just wondering how long this grow might take. The fan that is inside the room is blowing at the light and the plants are moving as well. The one that's in flower is funky looking. most of the leaves only came in single blades.. not sure why. I heard its a good thing though. Tried to clone but wasn't successful. So i just let it keep going. The flowers are pretty airy so it doesn't look the greatest but its okay.
BTW, the grow room is an old closet that has been remodeled using cedar wood. Not sure if i want to actually ruin it by painting the wood white...
I'm just using Rootbastic and molasses on the veggies for now. Figure once i see the roots thru the bottom of the little pots, I'll transplant into the 2 gallon buckets i bought at the local dollar store.If i learn how to post pics from my blackberry, i'll put some up
