Hey all coming to you live from Portland, Oregon, USA.
I recently moved here from Detroit Michigan to attend chiropractic school, and of course I got my grow tent set up.

Grow History
Back in Michigan I obtained my medical marijuana card. I have a torn labrum in my left hip from running track at Michigan State University. (Go Spartans). My first grow was a collaboration with one of my horticulture friends; this experience got me infatuated with the growing process. I had always been a fan of smoking pot ever since my injury, and in one particular bag of weed I found some seeds. In my dorm, I decided to give the seeds a go. I wrapped them in paper towel, placed the towel in my vape pen box, and placed it behind my PlayStation 3’s vent. In one day all the seeds developed taproots, which I quickly planted in halved water bottles. I placed the bottles on top of my Apple Router, keeping them warm. I then tilted my desk lamp with a 60watt CFL and developed young plants. Soon I showed my horticulture major buddy, and he took them on in his basement. He grew using HPS, and had a nice cool location for a closet set up. My friend gave me first hand plant knowledge. Humidity and vapor differential, nutrients, organic growing, lighting, negative pressure, he taught me most of what I know now. The explosion of the plants after transplanting really inspired me to do my own growing after college.

Then I graduated, and went back home for a summer. I got my own 4x4 grow tent, a 100$ LED 1000w off amazon, a carbon filter, duct fan, desk fan and a bunch of 3 gallon fabric pots. I grew Autoflowers to start with marginal success on my first grow. I chose think different and blueberry auto, 5 plants each. My cheap LED delivered me with about an ounce per plant, and I was displeased. I learned so much from that first grow, it was incredible. My second grow was 2.5 ounces, 3 ounces and 2.0 per plant. I was happy with that from auto’s. I learned about LST and how I should have SCROGGED, and not skimped on my light choice. I learned that my plants will grow to their environment size, and that one must shoot for optimal conditions in lighting, humidity, heat, air flow, and co2 in order to get the results one desires.

I am now onto my third grow, and first forum appearance. Since my cheap LED days, the first thing I ordered here in Portland was the Timber Grow Lights Vero V7 redwood, 600W. This light actually makes use of draw wattage, in which actual draw is 240 watts I believe. I researched a plethora of articles and posts about Co2 enrichment, and I have purchased the Titan controls 120v Regulator, as well as the AutoPilot APC820 Monitor/Controller. I am so excited to see new and better results, which have already begun. I am currently growing Tardis (Oregon Diesel x Time Wreck) with local Portland genetics. It’s been about 6 days, and plants look very happy, no stretching at all. I have heard great things about the cannabis in the Pacific Northwest, I’m ready to give it my best. I’m ready to start Co2 enrichment with my air sealed grow room, it’s about to pop off.

I hope to hear from my fellow growers out there, and I will contribute to your successes in whatever ways I can.
Talk to you guys soon!
