for three plants I would recommend 5-6 daylight flourescent bulbs for their veg period. You can buy them at home depot, do it center, or any hardware store

i plan to start my grow in april. i have a 4'x5'x7' grow space. i have 12- 2700k-1600L and 12 5000k 1600L. for lighting. i plan to start with 8 plant's. and hope to get 3 femail's. the place i have is in my car-port. the box is plywood but has bin painted with 3 coats primer 3 coats flat white. and well cocked. i will have 8 light's in the hood ans 1 on each side and one in the senter of the plants. the 2700k for veg, and the 5000k for flowering. i have a 250cfm.fan for the hood.ex. a 175cfm for fresh air and a 10" for the plants. i have 2 t-12's to start the seed's. is this a good set up? :leaf:2700k-3000k is for flowering 64-6500k for veg.:leaf: the 5000 range is a waste the plants cannot use much of its light.

gregk will 6500k- and 6800k work ?
:leaf: you mean for flowering? i'm not 100% sure but i'd say yes. its just better to use 2700-3000k for flowering and 6400k-6500k for veg.

read this carefully: https://www.rollitup.org/cfl-growing/107992-tutorial-growing-cfls.html

this explains to you what warm, soft, daylight means(ranges) i now am up to 4=46w(with reflectors from wallmart) cfl's 6=23watt(all from wallmart)the 150's cost only 9$. i ordered 6 of those y adaptors off ebay so i could put 2-4 bulbs per socket. goodluck! :leaf:
