New CFL Grow

Where in the hell am I?

Day 1
I have (10) 7” pots, with 3 scoops of perilite at the bottom then filled with miracle grow moisture control potting soil mixed with 5tbs each of Vita start transplanting fertilizer w/B1. I have 16 23W CFL’s surrounding the grow table. The plants will be here any minute and when I first water I will be watering with Alhambra mixed with the recommended amount of super thrive, the recommended amount of B1, as well as some 18-6-12. I am only going to use the 18-6-12 on every odd watering cycle and on every even I will use 1 tsp of molasses per gal of H2o. I am also going to set up homemade Co2 jugs using yeast and sugar. (Have to pick up yeast and sugar after the plants arrive, though.
I learned a lot from my last grow and I'm hoping that this one shows that I've learned:bigjoint:
Of course, any hints, tips, suggestions and advise along the way are greatly appreciated!!!

Seems like your going to be adding nute way too soon, and the soil should already have plenty of nutes being miricle grow, I would also think that the moisture control will be giving you problems also.

Whats up with moisture control? I asked a grower about that type SPECIFICALLY and was told it was good as gold. Could you tell me what you know about it? Also, about the nutes, I am changing her up to the following . . .

Update:
When the kids got here my buddy strongly recommend that I go organic, so I am! So, here’s what I just gave the children to drink. . .(All of the measurements are mixed with 1 gal of Alhambra, btw)7.5 ml of Botanicare Pure Blend Pro Grow, 2.5 ml of molasses, and 5 ml.
I am going to put some pics up to give idea of the grow area.
BTW, for those that care, all 10 are purple urkle

You wont be organic using Miricle grow soil, but anyway the reason that moisture control is bad is because it keeps the soil too moist for too long not allowing the roots to breath.

Since they are clones nutes shouldn't be too bad for them just take it easy at first, but since the MG soil has nutes in it already adding more could burn the shit out of them.

Right on. A friend had suggested that seeing how I have a tendendy to overwater (even with a nice moisture meter:dunce:), the moisture control would be good because of its ability to draw the moisture away from the roots. Also, I forgot to mention that I also put an inch layer of Hydroton clay pebbles on top of the soil. I've been reading that doing this will enable larger plant growth in smaller containers.
I know that the soil I'm currently using is not organic, so it isn't a true organic grow, don't worry no false advertisement going on from my part :blsmoke:
Dude, ty for letting me know what you know about the moisture control. Do you happen to know if the Kellogs Organic brand is a good one? And if I put Perilite at the bottom of my pot, is it still considered an organic grow, or should even that be organic?
Oh, one other thing. . . The measurements that I gave earlier on the nutes that the girls are getting are all half of what's reccomended for clones. Figured it was safer that way until they are established here.

I don't know much about the kellogs soil I use Wonder brand topsoil mixed with wonder composted manure at a 1:1 ratio then throw in a 10lb bag of worm casting and 2 small bags of perlite.

If you are prone to over watering then the moisture control will just make it that much worse. It doesnt suck up the extra water it holds water and keeps the soil wet as it loses water never allowing it to dry out and get oxegen to the roots

And perlite is totaly organic it is a mineral that forms by the hydration of obsidian, it is then heated up so that it will become maliable and expand when the water inside turns to gas expanding the perlite to 16 times its original size. This expanded perlite is what we buy, that is why it is so light and brittle it is basicly very porous glass.

Wow! I really hope that you see this and are able to get back to me soon. I can't go through the whole ordeal of changing the soil right now, I am just too afraid of putting all of my little babies into shock! I'm going on a 2-week veg, then 8 flower. I thought that the veg time seemed a little short, but my buddy (who has been doing this for a while and is an EXCELLENT grower), assured me that it's the time I want to do for what I'm doing.
Seeing how the moisture control is going to make it so that my kids don't proccess water like they should, do you have any suggestions as to what I can do about it? Am I going to be on some sort of really weird water schedule now? I have only watered once (Monday afternoon), it's now Wednesday morn and they show no signs of water leaving the area! Still wet. Could you give me some more advise? I'd definately give you rep, but I don't have any yet
