Hey everyone. I just started a grow and have some questions...
We picked up our clones last Wednesday and after getting everything put together I switched on the first 18/6 cycle to get the party started. Here's some base information:
White Rhino clones
Currently using soil
Clones have plugs from the clone process.
400w MH/HPS switchable ballast
Sun Systems Yieldmaster II refector/housing
400w MH for veg
I am just about finished with my bubbletank. I need to redo the top lid since I cut one of the holes a little too big for the pots, and I need to install a drain valve on it. The air stones, pump, and other fittings are in place. I've been running the tank with pure tap water for now to get some stuff flushed out but I think I should switch to black flexible tubing for my feeder tubes. I'm using regular plastic drip line and think they aren't flexible enough for placement.
I am kind of caught up between whether I should transplant the little girls into the netting pots or just leave them going with soil for now. Personally, I would prefer to bubble these lil sweeties. Is is safe to transplant or do you think I should wait? Right now I think the plants are shocking a little bit. Some of them are showing some yellowish spots, however it looks like there is new growth coming in pretty nicely. I am afraid to fuck with this and put the plants into further shock.
In terms of water, we are on a well and it seems to come out with a PH right at 7 straight from the tap. I will be giving the girls a feeding of water with CloneX every couple days for the next week and switch to FoxFarm trio for regular feeding. The CloneX appears to be taking the PH down to about 6-6.5ish so I should be safe for the time being. I almost think I should try to transplant them because I think they will take off with the extra oxygen from the tank but I don't want to kill them. Worst case scenario is that I can always get new clones and start with them but I'd rather recover what I have.
It seems they are doing fairly well with the new growth. I hope there wasn't a PH scare with them moving from one environment to the other. Here's some minor pictures:
