New app

Rollitup, in your opinion will this new app for smartphones pose a security risk to those who download it? My understanding is that once an app has been downloaded, the privacy of its user is null and void, and the phone company can do what they want with whatever info they pull off your phone, such as browsing history, and that whatever texts and emails go out are technically owned by the company.

With the recent hack of the site, it sounds like a red flag that hackers could, through this website, gain information on our phones, including our contacts, texts, and whatever else is on there.

It would be sweet to have it, but not at a price where they can locate your phone, anywhere, anytime, through its gps, which every single one has, whether its on or not.....its always on. I wouldn't want someone to cyber follow me to my grow. Not cool.

Opinions greatly appreciated.

How would a person if they were ale to hack this site again get that info? they would have to hack into your phone account or the cell phones company to gain this info. not through this site.

....great, first my phone decided to upload and keep my plant pics so I can't possible delete them without a factory reset, if that even works..... and now this thread to feed the paranoia...lol.... fuck 'em I say!....if they want you, they probably already know where to find you

LOL.....no,,,,,fuck that. I am not tec savvy at all. I never upload pics into this site for any reason, call it paranoia. Got me through many years before I became a legal grower and caregiver. I still trust no one, or any technology.

We have some camera program to download our pictures to the puter, I clicked on it, and low and behold, all the avatars, and all the pics I click on on this site are right on this fucking picture program. I almost fainted when I saw that. Now I have to burn this fucker instead of have it fixed if it gets messed up, or I'm exposed. I worry....can you tell???? LOL

i'm "tech savy", work for apple and would never use it to upload pictures to a journal, etc. that's just me tho :peace:

You've been a thorn on here for a least a few days now.....I'm on all the time, I've been watching what's going on with you, and the responses the people on here have had for you, which are brutal to say the least.

If you don't want to get your hand slapped, then stop making irritating posts, and chill the fuck out. Not everyone is a happy go lucky stoner. Some of us, myself included, worry about real shit, like what I posted about. This isn't a fucking joke. The only joke I see is your maturity level, or lack there of.

Smoking down just makes me more annoyed with annoying people.

Please do us all a favor, and read, then re-read your posts before you hit submit. It's a great practice to have on an open forum where people will quickly put you in your place if you cross people.

If you think the app is a non-issue, then say so. Maybe you know a lot about computer safety and can offer some insite. That would be great, and appreciated. If not, come up with something that isn't so offensive.

Dude I wasn't trying to be funny saying "mamma I'm scared" I was jist saying that I'm scared. Reading this thread got me thinking about it and I don't want to get robbed or caught up with any legal issues.

I don't want to come off as an ass to anyone on here. Despite what everyone probaly thinks I don't post things to be an ass. Everything I say is just me being me. I like this forum and id like the people of this forum to like me back. I want to be a part of this but I can't if everyone on here hates everything I post. This guy is right...a lot of people say "brutal" things toward me and that's not the way I want to be precieved.
