Just you asking this is tells me things...

There is currently no an affordable or correct UVB led. And IR not nessary either...unsing it for a flower trigger is different than all the time, but still isn't necessary at all.

With the correct white and red combination there can get enough lower nm blue to produce as much or more resin that straight UVB...and with the CW instead of the WW it should be even more a frost maker. Also it provides enough proportions of 660/deep red to maintain the correct PUR.

Long story short...A white led is not exactly white...we see white the plants see greatness.

730nm is IR spectrum my LED has one and I only use my LEDs for flower. I use HO T5s for veg. I also have a custom UVB dongle on one of my LEDs that's why I ask .

and white falls in multiple spectrums , its better for vegging and def the white they are using is a veg spectrum white light.

UV-B=290-320nm
UV-A=320-400nm

Stanford uses 310 floro tubes and has tested other sources. Currently most chips are actually uva, not uvb. Even ones markets as UVB...specially cheaper lights.

I want to see the bigger 4x4 unit he was talking about. I think that will be coming in the june/summer.
He was also testing some 660nm(small proportions)...not sure what the final thoughts/findings on it were, but he does play around with other options.

Yeah I was waiting for the info on that as well. I want that size unit or 3 more a51 units to mix up the specs

do you like fluffy buds?

when I use them as a pillow. Hippy life lol

I'd like to see a 4x4 flower only spectrum
20% -25% blue. Maybe 4500k and 660 . Cree needs to make some 660.

the only affordable (less than a new car) UV leds available are 385nm-400nm uv-a it is beneficial. But I think that would be better as a DIY supplemental. Same for 730.
