That would be bad ass if that is just as brigt as two 315w lec's in that one bulb.

not sure it is de,it may be. still should be better than hps. Too damn hot in summer months,even here in ny.

Yup, it appears the bulb operates in a DE fixture turned down to 600watts, except into an actual gavita brand for some reason. You can buy just the bulb

315W CMH is the same tech and you can spread the light further. I'd recommend you stay away from the 630W.

What's the matter with 630w's of cmh in one fixture? forgive the ignorance, I haven't been following along the lec threads.
Loving these sunsystem 630's I've been playing with. But they are fucking bank. Each one over a 4'x4' tray. Loving them. I just don't see spreading multiple 315w fixtures over 4' wide trays. 3' x 3' coverage(excluding overlap) is right for 315, been doing that in veg. Currently converting every other 600w veg light i got to 315w cmh.
I just ordered one of those 630w cmh DE bulbs. Gonna throw it into one of my DE fixtures and see what's up. If it ends up as good as my other 630w double bulb cmh fixtures, I can see some uses for it.

Would the de630 have better penetration than the 315? If you lifted up the de630 higher than the 315 wouldn't it cover more sqft with same quality of light? I purchased 2 fusion bright de630's and so far I really like them compared to hps

Yeah, it was a tough choice, I was either going to go with 3 vertical 315's or the de's. I chose the 2 de's. My tent is 8x8 so in the future I may get one or two vertical 315's to cover the whole area. Right now I am enjoying having space to move around. I grew in a bcnl Producer for years and I am looking forward to growing some trees. The bcnl growbox will be my veg/cloning area.
