Never use medina orange oil

I am really sad, unfortunately i listened to the guy at the grow shop and he said to use Medina Orange Oil to cure gnats/larva in my soil I poured about 3 ounces per gallon of water( 1 OUNCE LESS THAT THE DIRECTIONS CALLED FOR). I then saw online another person saying to only use 1ounce. Well it's too fucking late now and i'm jewed out of my entire crop so if anyone can please just tell me if i should stick my plant under the bathtub faucet and let it run for half a minute or so, i would be very happy. Will flushing it fix the toxicity? Or am i just flat out F'd. heres a picture of what this horrible product did to my plant.

Also the plant wasn't under watered most people tell me that it was over watered do to the dropping leaves. It was the Orange Oil. Fact is if you use this stuff to clean around the house and i should've thought better than to use it on my plants. Go smoke a bowl it's obvious you need one. Why don't you go use some Orange Oil in your garden and tell me how it works

I think IDTS had the same problem as you. He said he was using some orange oil. He got bud rot after like 2 weeks or something, But who knows. It could of been from mites.. I don't think he checks on his plants often xD

Here's the skinny on orange oil: yes, it can be used to control gnats and many other pests as well. It is more commonly used to control weeds in the garden; however, it can also be used by the plant via root uptake to ward off pests. I would not recommend spraying the leaves, AT ALL! It will burn your plant to a crisp. You'll want to use it as a soil soak. 3oz per gal was way to much. I would start with 1/2 oz per gal and work up to no more than 1 1/2 oz per gal. The stuff works pretty dam ngood if I do say so myself. I use it in my veg garden and in my herb garden. Here's another little trick to the bastards ass gnats: get you a small, clear jar; pour a little apple juice, aplle cider, or cranapple juice (any juice will work, those have worked the best for me), cut yourself a small piece of platic (i use bags from the grocery store), poke some holes in it, place it over the top of the jar and seal it with a rubberband. In a few days the jar will be full

Also, medina orange oil is fairly common to tx gardeners who've adapted to an organic program. If you anywhere around, or in Tx, you should check out the orange oil plus enhanced vinegar offered by a company called soil mender. The product was developed by Howarrd Garret, the Dirt Doctor and is pretty useful. later!
