Awesome man! Looks great. You're drying them in your box it looks like, right? No lights I assume, just the fans running?

Yep, lights off and fans running, it would be nice to have it be a bit hotter in there, but I don't know if drying them in light is a good idea, not sure though.

Oh and not sure if you know about these, but they make a 'curing cap' that's fits onto mason jars for easy curing. No burping/daily jar opening. I plan on buying a few.

wow those seem useful =D too bad here in belgium we don't really use mason jars, we never deal with amounts big enough to justify such big jars :p
I've never had a stash that didn't fit in the small jar I have :p Mason jars are just too big and obvious :p hard to hide! it's a shame we have to hide them but hey...

Yeah man complete darkness till finished drying then put in curing jars and the same for curing throughout drying and curing it should be totally dark throughout whole process:)

Hope this helps....!

Yea. Also make sure the fan air isn't blowing directly on the buds. You don't want then to dry too fast. Just some nice circulation around them.

Thx for the hint! I also swap them around on the wire every day to make sure they all dry even :)

I just microwave-dried a tiny nug and rolled one with it... let's just say i'm having a tough time typing this post.. XD

(Thx for the likes Mewk! Your grow helped me so much! Glad to see you on the forum again, planning on a new grow?)

Last update! :) Dried weight is 12 grams, which is around my goal so I'm happy :) Smell isn't as heavy as it was when still wet, but smells pretty nice none the less.

Smoke report should follow in a short time! :)

On my next grow: My next one will start mid-september, when the next school year starts, I'll be using another sweet cheese seed, but this time actually do the LST :) Should be interesting to see how much more this technique really yields.

Thx to everyone that followed my thread and/or helped me in any way! =D Hope to see you all return for my next grow, and trust me, there will be a next one!

Peace,
Nerd

So the report! =D

It's a pretty amazing smoke, heavy couchlock and a nice cheesy/fruity smell.

Things I did learn for next time:

- Harvest a little bit sooner
- Dry a little longer
- Start LST earlier
- Be more gentle on the watering in seedling phase

Next one should be real' good!

Thx for the love everyone! =d

The harvest is all gone now, but it was amazing smoke! No doubt in my mind I'm going to continue this next schoolyear!

Congrats! Can't wait till my first harvest is in. To me, a first harvest is just that...everyone has to start somewhere and human life is all about learning...as the saying goes "practice makes perfect."

What's up RIU! I'm back :D

My second grow is about to get underway, i have everything I need (apart from a Ph meter but i might get one soon). Time to put my 2nd Sweet Cheese Auto seed to work!
Growcase setup is the same, i did replace one phone charger to give the 2nd fan that blows onto the plant a bit more juice. I did move to another apartment so temps will probs be a bit different so I have to be prepared to move some more air inside the case.

This time I'll start the LST in time so I can actualy do it :p Seed is germinating right now in a damp, dark and warm spot, should show taproot pretty soon, will post the first pics when I pet her into her jiffy pot.

Second grow lesgo!

Day 1: The seed is in the jiffy pot and ready to start things off, just a short recap for those who are new:
- Just under 100W worth of CFLs
- 2 pc fans, both on 9V phone chargers, one for exhaust and one to blow onto the plant to make it stronger and cool down the leaves.
- Gonna be planting the jiffy pot to one side of the bigger tray and LST it to the other side, maximising yield for a small area.
- Light scheme now is 12/12, because it's a new place and i don't know what temps are gonna be, so playing it safe for now. Later when she gets a bit bigger and stronger I'll put it to 14/10, 16/8, en probably end up doing 20/4.
- First stages of growth I use tapwater, distilled water and preferably rain water, don't have any yet but I'll try to catch some soon. Nutrients for bloom will be added when i notice here getting into flower.
- No smell filter has been added yet, will probably make one when it gets too bad(good).

PS: If you want some pics on the making of the case check out the first few pages of the log, i tried to explain everything I did.
