Click to expand... dont think perlite is solid enough to stopthem......gnat off is best though or something similar....stops them feeding and they die...

del66666 Well-Known Member Jul 25, 2011 #7 i used stuff called gnat off..........you add it to water and water plants.........it makes a toxic substance in the fungus that the larvae eat and they die, harmless to the plant and you..........prob called something else in usa......
