Dyna Gro is the brand I have, I've been mixing and using this as a spray at the label ratio forever, but I've never watered my plants with it..?

However my yellow stickies are coming up a little heavier than I like w/ fungus gnats, and I want to feed every plant neem oil

is this ratio okay at 1 1/2 teaspoons / quart (6 teaspoons per gallon?)

All I have is dish soap, should I add it at the amount suggested on label ?
-thanks in advance

*just wanted to hear from someone else who's used it at this ratio to water before I pour it in

What are you trying to accomplish? Neem oil won't hurt your plants but I would leave the soap out. Lecithin is better than soap as an emulsifier. But why water with neem oil? Neem seed meal is a better option for providing nitrogen and inhibiting pests in the soil.

The label says the recipe with the soap is correct for spray or watering?

However Im not comfortable putting dishsoap in my plants, but I don't know if the neem oil will work properly without the soap?

* usually I keep a 9 inch high velocity fan on low on the floor and it breaks their life cycle and either eliminates them or keeps them down but I have no room in veg for a fan right now and I'm noticing they're starting to proliferate

My 2¢ ... pesos / drachmas

I mix 1/4 tsp in to spray bottle and water , shake and ready to go.

Adding a drop or two of dish soap ( non bleach kind ) will give it a more insecticidal soap like solution. I even do a simple isopropyl / water mix for the same quick knockdown .

* soil drench was the word I was trying to think of!

I want to do a soil drench with the neem oil

and I'm looking for the ratio of neem per gallon

And do I use the soap in a drench? As I'm reading the label it seems to say so and that doesn't seem right?

Dear Mr Potatohead

Avoid killing the most important addition to your soil ...your fungi bloom

only add neem oil in dire emergencies like.. root rot

lay slices of potatoes on top of the soil check daily and remove fungus worms

stop over watering allow to dry out

lift ...think..... b4 watering

good luck

ps. You're a potato

Thank you for your input ,yes I voted potato as well

Usually control gnats with 9 inch high velocity fan on floor but no room in veg now

but decided not to add neem after all , because I don't like the idea of soap and I do add Mykos and had not considered that, so again thank you for this heads up, good looking out!
