NeedMo's 2nd Grow - Organic TGASS Freebies - 400w/230w

Hey all!!

First, all comments and posts are welcome, and any advise is greatly appreciated.

I'm gonna attempt to keep the majority of posts about these babies in this journal.
My first grow went great thanks in part to RIU and am hoping this one goes even better! :hump:

I placed myself an xmas order on attitude and received it on 12/26.

I was just nearing harvest on my first grow and once that was all done I took a week off and then popped the freebies. ;-)

Two nights later I found some random seeds poking out of some really top shelf shit I got from a dispensary, so I popped them too!

The seeds are...

Cole Train - RPA
Skunk 47 - WoS
Cotton Candy - Delicious
Northern Light Blue Auto - Delicious

This is from almost exactly 4.5 days after starting germ. (2.5 for the blue caddy added in on the right, not up yet)

This is 29 hours later. So almost 6 days from germ, 3-4 for the bc, which are just coming up.

2 days later puts us at almost 8 days from germ. And the Skunk 47 is not looking so great...

Later that night I replant them in Cowpots with TGA (base)Soil. Almost 8 days exactly from starting germ, 6 for the BC.

I can't remember how long, and was lazy on taking pics so can't look it up... But I left them under the T5 a while longer till most of them had pretty good sized 2nd set of leaves.

I then moved them down to my new grow space and put them under a 230w LED for a for prob 3-4 more days.

This afternoon, I planted them all in Airpots with TGA Super Soil, mostly, used some base to buffer and fill the tops, also used much less SS in the Auto.

Put all but the auto under the 400w and lowered is some, gonna lower to about 12-18 inches in the morning.

Plus one auto and 2 bagseed that I'm pretty sure are indica dom. The auto is off on it's own, not really worried about that one, but am thinking about using LST on the others.

I've read the sticky and it's not all that clear on exactly when to start. I found an older post that says start when you have 3 nodes and hook between the 2nd and 3rd nodes. I've never been clear on exactly where the first node is, if someone could define it, maybe using my pics, that would be awesome.

Still on the fence if I should LST or not, maybe I'll just do a few. Thoughts on that or any other input is great appreciated. Thanks!!

400W MH/HPS
4x4' foot print, about 5.5'x4.5'x4.5' total space for the 6 plants.
4.5' height is from the top of the container to the glass on the hood at max height, so about 3.5' tall plants would put them 12" away from the glass.
Planning on Vegging for 3-4weeks starting today.
