Needin more lighting for 150w hps grow

Hello everyone I just finished my 2nd 150w hps grow. I yielded 52gs and my first grow 54gs. Now even with a longer veg time I didn't get much more weight. I can't upgrade my light to 400w I was wanting so I think next best thing is adding cfls for side and supplemental lighting to further dense my buds up and fill them out better. I guess my question is if I was able to put 2 sockets in with my 150w each socket 2 bulbs each at 23watts would that make a big difference or should I try to put more? Grow tent is 18inch wide by 36in long by 60in tall. And I want to get denser buds and around 60-90gs per grow 2 plants per grow. Any opinions are appreciated..

image.jpgAlso for veg and bloom can you do mixed spectrum or does it only be in bloom? Also how would someone hook up the lights on a tent that is pictured do I just let them hang? The picture is from the just finished grow. Also I wanna do the two bulbs socket would it be hard to fit 3-4 of them??

I like the 45w cfls, they are good bang for your buck. I also have some 85w cfls. But I veg with a 150w hps and cfls in the 6500k color range. I highly recommend mixed spectrum for veg and flower. I put a 85w 6500k cfl in my flowering room for a little side light along with my 400w hps and the buds near the cfl got super frosty and filled in that corner nicely. If you added just 2 45w 6500k cfls I bet you would see a difference, in growth and yield. Also check what strain you have, is it a heavy yielder, if not it may not make a huge difference in yield, you could also do a vertical or scrog setup. In my veg tent I have my 150 hanging verticle and bare bulb. Its not difficult to keep the temps in check with a 150 hps...I think a 100w incandescent might get hotter than my 150 hps.
