Needhelp! on growin (did i screw up?)

Hi, the other day i was sitting out sidesmoking up what was left of my 60 bag. and i thought to my self whie i was looking at the seeds. maybe i should grow. well i went threw my bag aand got 2 seeds out of it (yeah that good). i got a plastic cup, got marical grow(with fertilizer). and planted the 2 seeds. i put a hole on the bottom to let the water drain. i went out into a open spot in the middle of my woods, (will a damn animal eat this shit?)and burried the cup under sand with the top sticking out for the plant and all. so the seeds are 1 day old in the ground. how long will it take for me to see a sprout? did i do it right. any suggestions? when should i transfer the plant when it gets bigger and im going to put it in compost manuer. and im gonna the seeds get 8 hours of regular sunlight a day. and 2 hours a day under a red light heat lamp when i see a sprout. how many inches should i keep the lamp from the seeds.

just please post any tips on how i should fix this or improve this.
and was it ok to take seeds from my bag? and be able to grow em.

you should be ok but one question, did you plce both seeds together in the cup? If so you need to seperate them once they are strong enough. Otherwise their root systems will become entangled and it can cause problems...........

If not: Up to a week to sprout
Did: a few days.

marical grow(with fertilizer).

when they do come up if they start to yellow or have burned tips you know why before hand.
