Need your guys opinion!

So these are my four 420 carat femmed girls. They are under 400w MH for now in 2 gallon pots. They are currently 2 weeks old as of today ( going by first two true leaves). I was thinking of starting to give them tiny bits of flower power nutrients for vegging but don't know if that's too soon. Now my question is should I transplant them into 3 gallon pots when I switch over to HPS to let more root growth OR will 400w's not be enough? Their expected height is 40 inches and I have about 6 feet of light height and 5 feet of width with 8 feet depth as you can see in the pic. I know they won't reach absolute potential either way because none will be directly under light. So I guess my issue here is light and spacing. Btw these are 65% indica and 35% sativa. And tell me what you guys think about how they look in terms of health. And also what do you guys think about adding nutrients to the humidifier all water soluble.

Hi dr.
Your plants look good.
Depending upon your soil mix, you may want to give them some fertilizer in small doses.

If I may be so bold, I would recommend that you get a couple of white plastic (vinyl) shower curtain liners for much greater reflective light. $3-$5 each
Put one on the floor under the plants, and some on the walls.

The bigger the container the bigger the plant. I would transplant into larger containers a week or so before flowering...depending upon how big you want them to get.
I have grown plants I wanted to keep small to maturity in only one gallon containers.
Good luck!

Thank you wavels. Really great information. I never heard of vinyl reflecting light? But hey if it works I'll give it a try, what is it exactly like the clear plastic liner that goes behind the curtain? And do you think I have the spacing and lighting area to let them grow in 3 gallon pots? And btw those are some really beautiful girls you got in those pics!

UR welcome!

Yes the white color liner will help maximize your reflective light.

And the white liners are just like the clear ones(except they are white).

Depending on how big you want to let them get you should have enough room and light.

You also may be able to get your plants closer to your light.
Try to maintain a canopy uniform in height.
Rotate the position of the containers frequently.
Have fun!

Panda film will work better than shower curtains by far. The black and white plastic has about 95% reflection where a vinyl curtain may be 70% if that.

Most garden centers sell it by the foot for less than a buck and it's 10ft wide.

It also will block any light to separate a grow space from a flowering space even if you have a 1000W HID on one side.

Why would you want to add nutes to a humidifier? One of the more useless ideas I've ever heard to help plants grow. Right up there with foliar feeding plants unless they are sick from root rot.

Never spray anything on your plants unless killing bugs or saving from root rot!

Tbh I don't think I really need any panda plastic or shower curtain. They are doing just fine. Never grew in winter so humidity is lower and I got a small humidifier and I did add hydroponic nutes But Foliage feeding is garbage I agree with that. I just keep rotating the pots and keep them moist they do the rest. And yeah adding the nutes did nothing

I hate to say anything negative about a fellow growers efforts but WTF?

That is not a good advertisement for that lighting system,

Sorry, really sorry but that is a sorry looking plant. All those bud sites should be just above the first blue balls.

Lol it caught my eye too, I don't think he's trying to sell any thing though.

I didn't have the heart to tell him but he has a stretch Armstrong on his hands lol

That's a bit too stretchy for me ... But I use MH which tends to make a more bushy plant .. Never tried LED's.. And of course strain too

I cloned them way too long under a 60w white ufo. i had no choice as there was no room in the main room for them. Even so, the mother was the same height/size/shape, but with stronger side branches
