Need suggestions on T5 lighting

Total newbie here looking to purchase a T5 lighting and I was just wondering if anyone could share some suggestions on particular brands/models.

Did a little searching and it seems there is quite a few out there with a range of prices. I don't want to end up buying one and being disappointed. Which brands have a good reputation for quality fluorescent grow lights? Any to avoid?

I'd appreciate links if anyone can recommend a good light at a good price (if that is allowed on the forum that is).

Thanks in advance!

This is the one I run. It is 4ft 8 bulb model. I also have a six bulb one. Both have been running for over a year with no problems. They make various 2ft and 4ft models.

They make up to a 16 bulb model. It and the one like mine the bulbs are double stacked in the fixture. So my 8 bulb is the same width as most 4 bulb models.

It is by durolux.

They are decently built. The reflector can be bent so pick it up by the backbone.

I took both mine apart and they are well built. No loose wires or anything like that.

The link in my sig shows the light in action.

4 x 8 lamps is good, 4x 6 lamps ok and 4x 12 is fantastic

at around $100.00 is cheap but for veg lighting is not..?

or make ur own outta bits is cheaper and easyfun

hang on chain or counter weights(me) to adjust daily

remove lower (12") growth as the lux can't reach that far

and improves venting, have a mix of cool and warm white tubes

good luck
