need some inspiriation!

so a 3 year relationship just ended on me, and I basically wanted to start growing (right away) as a way to numb the pain and just forget.
I've been thinking about growing for months now, but i've been putting it off and now I have the time!

Anyways!!
I was thinking of getting my seeds of NIRVANA and i've read that i should get something of a hyrbid since those have a best chance of growing well indoors.

Dual Spectrum Bubbleponics™ Complete Kit
i was thinking of getting this kit to start with, I've read its really easy with this setup..
I kinda need it to be small since its gonna be fitting in the corner of my room
so i guess some of my questions are,
Do i need to keep this setup completely LIGHT-SEALED?
How much is 6 plants going to smell? What can I do to make the odor less.
I keep hearing things about NUTES, I'm assuming there like food for the plant. So what kind do I need, what kind of feeding cycles are we talking about.
also what other types of stuff do i need to know about and materials do i need?

That's a terrible reason to grow man.
Not to say it's not great for you to have things to fill your time, but pot's a real pleasant refuge from reality and it'd be terrible to let such a wonderful plant prevent you from sorting through your pains and moving on...

Anyway it sounds like you need to do alot of reading before you even start thinking about your grow design. Check the growfaq here:

Whatever you do, good luck, and remember, this just means you're one lady closer to the woman who's going to really make you happy for the rest of your life.

Yah man the grow FAQ is freaking awesome! It will pretty much cover 90% of the questions you will have. The people on this forum are also real helpful, so if problems do arise you shouldn't have any trouble getting help.

i've been reading the grow faq but i'm still pretty vague on the how the actual watering, and nutrient part of it works. also since i'm going to be going the hydroponic route i was also reading that i need to keep the solution in my water reservoir at optimal pH levels which i believe was 5-7 ..

also what kind of seeds you recommend cheeteah? for a first grow at least.

dunno about the seeds man...... there are so many strains available that i can't choose one for myself . i'm growin bagseed for my first grow(i'm in flowering now) just to see how the crop grow haha . for first time people around here are suggesting northern lights.i've never use hydro so i can't help you with it . one correction - the PH in hydro must be 5.7-6 i think.

northern lights sounds good i've actually never smoked it, but i'm sure it'll be fun.

and whats "bagseed" i keep reading about it in other threads but i'm not familiar with the term.

it's a seed that you found in the bag of the weed you buying from your dealer .

dude my dealer is a club haha. i haven't seen seeds in like AGES.
i dont even know anyone who sells stress/pretendo/schwag/so on.

haha i'ma probably have to get mine online or network with someone i know !

You can build that same thing for like $50..... I just can't justify it. Its a $7 rubbermaid tub with some holes in it and some inexpensive plumbing supplies. Just because you spend a lot of money on something doesn't mean it will be good and not cause your plants to die.

Indeed but i dont see it that way.
I just don't know if i could build it i've seen people post some how tos as well it just seems a little daunting i mean. growing BUD in it self to me seems like a daunting task, it may not seem like it but i do plan to give my babies a bunch of care! but yeah i agree with u i think its a bit overpriced it just seems like a complete setup for a n00b like my self

If your not handy with your hands then your best bet is to buy something. Thats my opinion. however do not let the task of growing intimidate you. Not a good way to start imo. If you can grow a weed than you should be able to grow this.

I personally enjoy growing organically with soil, but its all up to everyones preferences. I haven't even looked into something like that. But maybe try a more simple grow op for a trial period. So you can get an idea.


Buy some cfls for vegging, and then go from there, by the time your done vegging you will have gained a good amount of information and used barely any money. Thats my suggestion. And then you can go get a 250w hps er something fun like that.


Edit: Also try craigslist Search hydroponics or hps, I found some awesome awesome deals on there!
