need some info help please

I have 3 clones under a 150 watt hps that are about 5 inches tall but straight bushy and very healthy looking ... I have limited space so I was wondering if I switched to 12/12 now how much do you think they would multiply in size... all three are 100% indica.... white widow, pure gold, and LA confidential...... I dont want them to get to close to the lights but also want the branches to be developed also

Good rule of thumb is plants triple in size from the size just before flowering with good nutes and little stress. I would wait 2-3 weeks and then flower if time or space is an issue. If it is an issue than you shouldnt have a problem guessing when to start flowering. What are you growing in?

i am growing in a 35 gallon utility trash can... i spray painted the inside white and have them in the bottom of it... i mounted the 150 watt hps to the lid and it works fine ... trust me a lot of ventilation but it stays at about 79 F in there... thanks for the tip though i will keep that in mind i should have plenty of room i just want to make sure the side branches have time too so that i dont end up with just the one top bud... what do you guys think about topping them should i do it to keep them bushy or just let them grow regularly????

Well since you are cramped on space, i wouldnt top more than once or twice. One main cola will require a bit more height than say 2 or 4 if you get what im saying. If i were you, i would top in a week, veg for 1 or 2 weeks and than flower. Remember that you CAN prune if it gets too big but you cant add more bud after flowering too early!

thanks for the info mcdonald i think thats what ill do let them grow for another couple days and then top them all and let em go for a extra week to recoop and then flower them.... this is my 2nd grow with the trash can and when the light gets too close i raise the light up with a 4X4 on each side... works really well and gives me 4 extra inches towards the end... so i should be fine
