looking nice there mate i'd say give it another few days and see how it looks then but if u cant wait then go for it i dont see any harm in harvesting them now by the look of them.
happy smoking.

alrighty good stuff man. im not in really any hurry sooo like you said ill wait a bit to see if their still plumping up, and wait for a little bit more brown hairs
ive got some ww growing from seed and these ones i dont want to be tall...

whats the best method for making a short fat plant that will have a nice yeild? should i just topp er at a certain height and prune the sides?
thanks !

my personal preference to keep my plants small but keep a good yield is to low stress train them or try SOG this way u can control the height of the plant but u maintain a decent harvest because the plant will grow out rather than up.
hope this helps

By just looking at the pics I would say to start flushing with straight water, and harvest in a week. Also give it like 48-72 hours of dark before harvest

okay coooool. just about done then.. i using cfl's for my second grow aswell and read that it is better to have a shorter crop rather then tall. ive seen a couple pictures of this and the end results are gorgeous. the only thing i was wondering is if it would be better to top the plant young and get multiple colas, or should i just grow it into one main cola bush. yeild difference? quality?

I think that you should always top and LST at a young age. Doing this causes the plant to bush out more rather and stretch up. When it has a greater area on top (due to the bushiness) More light reaches more of the plant. So instead of having on main cola getting most of the light, you can have many colas getting equal amounts of light which I beileve can produce a much greater yield under the right conditions. As far as quality goes, I dont know the answer to that. I hope this helps on your next grow

i see i see.. so when do you think the best time to start topping the plant is? ive started 2 ww from seeds and wanna make a nice little bush

I think you should top first after the 4th node or so. Then top again after 2 more nodes. This will give you 4 main colas, that you can then tie down away from each other so they grow horizontally. This will create a nice bush

okay sweet. i just read that book buds for less. i dont know if anyones read it but it had some pretty good info in there for me. basically he lets his plant get to about 4.5 inches, and throws it right into flower..

according to him, this is the best way to go with cfl's.

has anyone had experience with this?

Last year I did something similar to this with just 1 plant. It was 5 inches tall when I switched light cycles, I also had it topped and tied down. When I started 12/12 I put a screen over it, and within a week or 2 the screen was full with small buds. Too bad I had to get rid of the plant (long story) it would've been a very nice harvest from it
