Need Some Help

Hello,

Ok, so I'm setting up a new grow area which is in a cool cellar in my basement. I'm going to be putting a 4x4x6.5 tent into it. The room it's self has a 4 inch ducting into it. My equipment i'm using is a 600 watt with cooltube and 4 inch inline fan. My issue i'm having is it being quite cold within the cellar and not sure how I should go about venting the area, I've noticed that if the house and outside is 24C (75.2F), the cold cellar will be roughly 19C (66.2F) in the summer with nothing in it. In the winter here it get's quite cold i.e at times -20C (-4F), so if I was to vent into the house over the tube would the 600 watt increase that -20 outdoor air to acceptable temperatures or just shatter the bulb :/ ? What about if I was to vent out side would a oil-heater work to heat the room and maintain a desirable temperature? I'd imagine the heater have to be on 24/7 if my inline fan was on 24/7 as well right? Anyone have any idea's or experience on what's best to do here?

Thanks!!!!

I don't think -4f would shatter the bulb but it would be in a pool of condensation.

Don't take air in from outside in winter, and just recirculate it, use open reflector.

I think heaters are a last resort, I wouldn't use one unless absolutely necessary.

In cold areas maybe a veg light on 24 hours can help, or have to flower tents flip-flopping.

You can use the heat from your bulb to warm the tent. Ditch the cooltube. Use a thermostatically controlled fan if it gets too warm. You might want to upgrade to a 1000w light. You may need a heater at lights out.
