need some help

I germinated a mid seed about almost a week ago, and i planted it in my indoor growing area, which is about 83 degrees F and i have two grow lights (the ones you get from walmart) and a fan set to a low setting.

I water probably ever 2-3 days usually 3 and just put a little bit of water on the soil ( the soil meets all the guidelines to growing marijuana) but i just looked at that seed 10 minutes ago and it was longer but it had turned like a little lighter than the soil color, which I don't know but it looked sort of dead?
am I doing something wrong? Because I just got done germinating another seed (different strain) and planted it with some water, but I want to prevent that seed from fucking up, since it is a better strain and what not..
any help would be awesome

make sure the lights arent too close and water them...use a decent amount of water...enough to get the soil pretty wet..then let it dry and see how they are

the lights are about 2-3 inch away from the plants, but how much water should i add every couple of days? like how many ML?

What kind of lights are they? Walmart sells cfls, fluro tubes and useless incandescent plant lights.

ugh! I just added some more water, and then mixed the soil and can now not find my seed that I put in the one jar (the good seeds)

The blue looking incandescent ones? If so they are useless.
