I started from seeds that i got out of some mids that i picked up. and i dont understand what you mean by flush my plants...or what you mean by the calix are swelling. i have a low grade microscope, would that be good enough to look at the trics? and finally what are the main cola leaves?
sorry i sound like an idiot but its my first time so thank you so much for the help...its hard to grow your plant 1800 miles away!! nion"
IMO "in my opinion"
IMHO "in my humble opinion"
Ok, from seeds, well if you just germ'd the seeds and planted them outside or in a bucket outside. it probably took the plant about 4-6 weeks to get to the point of developing bud sites. So you have only been flowering for 4-5 weeks. most Indica plants need 8-10 of "Flowering time" to fully mature.
The calix's are what a bud is comprised of. The bigger and firmer the Calix, the bigger and tighter the buds are.
And as to the leaves getting sucked into the main cola. Look at your pics, the main part of the plant at the highest point is your main Cola. It is where the plant tries to direct all of it's energy to develop.
As the main stalk "Cola" gets more mature,it swells in size and gets fatter. as a result, the fan leaves that are on the main cola have the apperence of getting sucked into the plant. "but not really" the leaves are the same the main Cola is getting fatter, "heavier". <-----(Good Thing)
As far as looking at the trichomes, get one of those $8.00 30x loop small microscopes they sell at Radio Shack. It is a stand up model with a light on the bottom to iluminate whatever it is you are trying to see in the little circle at the bottom.
The little mushroom looking things on the leaves that you are able to see with a loop, are what gets you high. To the naked eye trichomes are the crystals you see on your top leaves and buds.
They more trichomes you have the better quality weed you have.
If your friend "or you" is going to look, take a small pair of sharp scissors and trim a small leaf from up near the top of the plant get as deep into the main cola as possible.
Be Gentle!!! don't touch it with your fingers after you cut it, lay it on something black, "or dark". In a dim or dark room. Make sure you are looking at the top part of the leaf, not bottom and look for the little mushrooms and see what color the head is.
And the last part about flushing. Are you feeding the plant while wattering it? If yes, flushing means no more Nuets or fertilizer. Just water for the last week to 10 days before you chop.
There you go.
Good Luck.
