Need some help putting my mind at ease

Hello, first time poster, first time grower and a lucky one too. My younger bro found a seed in a medical bud he picked up from a friend. Surprised that it looked pretty healthy I decided to take a chance at growing it. I've transferred it a total of 2 times (bottom photos show recent transfer yesterday in a 5 gal clay pot.)

?#1 in the photos below you can clearly see the bottom four original leaves turning yellow and crusty. Is this normal? The top leaves look pretty healthy to me (seen in the full plant pic) will this wilting begin to follow the rest of the plant?

?#2 When transferring my plant for the first time I noticed it had a fuzzy stem, I had to hold the stem between my finger to prevent the plant from falling out as I patted it out of the pot. What was left were strips of white clear fuzzy film and now the stem looks different and bumpier. Is this bad?

Btw, can you tell what strain this plant is? My brother says it might be Master Kush.

It looks healthy man keep up the good work. Those bumps look like roots trying to grow. To much water on the stem.

yeah it looks good. cant say its kush. but unless you know all you can do is judge the buds it produce. those small leaves are ok to fall off when they are ready. when you flower you will loose a couple more bottom fanleaves towards your 5th and 6th week of flowering. when you get to your next grow start them in one gallon pots and tranplant them into a 5 gal bucket. too much transplanting is stress on the plant and although unlikely you can make it go hermie or male. the bumps on the stalk doesnt tell you anything except you have a healthy stalk. good luck growing

Whew, that feels good now. Hey, thanks for the compliments too, I'm happy my plant is growing healthy, it should cause im doing everything i can for it, it's like a baby to me. thanks for the tip also heathaa

In pic two you can see dried up soil under the leavess meaning sloppy watering. Sloppy watering = water on stem. Which can induce the stem to put out roots. Just my two cents.

don't over do it, not with water, not with nutes, not with thoughts..... worse thing u can do is get too much info as a new grower IMHO, remember the k.i.s.s. philosophy, "Keep it Simple Stupid" not calling u stupid, just a saying that helps me.... I tend to over think stuff and have to remind myself that this is a plant that will do o.k. if left alone, but your job is to make her comfy and treaded like a v.i.p. and that will make the meds kind..... find a journal or thread on here, or a book, authored by someone who lives in a climate similar to yours who is a sucessfull grower, and mimic their style for your first 5 grows, then expand from there is my advise. Your plant looks good!
