Hey guys I have been looking this site over quite a but the last month reading up on people grow setups and some how to's. Growing has really caught my attention as something that would just be really fun and challenging to me and I want to try it out. I looked a lot at the bloombox and other turnkey growboxes but they all seem so damn expensive. I want to build my own setup But I am not sure how much money I need to start or even how big my growbox should be.
I want to grow a max of 12 plants including mothers and clones. I also would like to impliment some form of production line so I can harvest just 1-2 plants as often as possible. I figure this way ill be more likely to smoke it rather then to sell it. my general idea was to have 1-2 mother plants which i will take clones from every two weeks. and have 8 flowering plants at two week intervals. I think this would allow me to harvest two plants every two weeks. Please correct me if I am wrong on this.
I planned to do this using a hydro flood and drain system as it seems simple to use. my only concern is if i will have to have multiple resivoirs to feed my plants because they will all be at different stages of their growth? If this is true is their an easier way to do this inside a grow box? the more I think about the production line system the more it seems a grow box is not very suitable for such a OP.
But i really only want to grow inside a grow box. How big would a box have to be to support 8 flowering plants and a mother with a handful of clones? I plant to have the mother and clones on a CFL setup and the 8 flowering on a 400-600 HPS. (is a 400hps strong enought for 8 plants inside a box? or would I need a 600)
1. How well does a single flood and drain system work on 8 flowering plants were every two plants are two weeks younger then the first? (production line)
2. Will a 400w HPS light work for 8 plants in a box. (they will all be different heights at well)
3. What size box would fit 8 havesting plants and a mothers and clones?
