1st question: LED vs CFL for clones?

2nd question: should i introduce some LED's to my indoor garden (along with HPS / MH) for a larger spectrum + UV Light?

3rd Question: If i supercrop my plants should i avoid fimming / Topping or should i do both at the same time?

4th question: Which trimming method provides the highest yields? (Ex. Fimming, Topping, Super-cropping, Lolly Popping, Etc Etc)

5th question: What is the best rooting gel / powder for cloning?

That's all for now, Thanks for reading, im not new to growing but in the past i've only used Fimming / Lollypopping together and haven't been very satisfied with the results. I'm looking to expand my knowledge, I'm almost certain that this grow will consist of super cropping only but im not sure if i can supercrop (breaking stems to make them knuckle) and at the same time FIM the top node to make it branch out without hurting my plant.. Can these methods be used together with good results?

I'm not into supercroping but I just got a quarter p. off of 1 plant that only vegged out for 40 days. So let me see if I can help in order of your questions.
1. I am a huge fan of cfl's because they are cheap, and available pretty much everywhere. LED's are still expensive in comparison and I'm not sold on them yet. They have come a long way in the past few years but in my opinion they need to offer more for the money before I bring them into my garden.
2. It never hurts to have different spectrums in the garden. I use 125watt Feliz CFL's (These are the big ones) as well as HPS in my setup and it has proven to be a good move. UV lighting is useful and available at pet stores.
3. I have no idea if you can do both but I don't see why not.
4. I have extensive knowledge of topping plants as I have done this for many many years. I find it a great way to get big buds all over the plant. I keep topping my outdoor plants until they show their first puffs of white hair. I almost always pull huge yields outdoors but if your doing it inside then you can really make them huge with topping. I keep topping the new shoots until I have what looks like a bush. I have some friends that are into main-lining plants but that seems to be a bit too much work for not that much more bud.
5. I never use rooting gel. If you have access to aloe vera plants all you have to do is cut a piece off and rub the clone stems onto the gooey gel in the aloe plant and your good to go. I have not paid for rooting gel in a couple years. I find the aloe works way better too.,
I hope all of this helps dude. If you have any more questions or need me to explain anything just hit me up. Good Luck Dude

this actually does help. im ordering a 250w Feliz CFL bulb (6500k) for my clones. Got Clonex coming. and had to order a new 1000w metal halide bulb cause the cool tube wasnt staying cool enough and it burnt my bulb out. it only lasted 3 days. thats my fault tho i shoulda paid better attention to it. im gonna switch to 18-6 instead of 24 on, to guarantee it doesnt happen again. also i've increased the size of the fan blowing in and pulling air out of the tube. we'll see how that goes. also im gonna grab up a couple LED's to get a little experiment going. im told the LED spectrum increases the amount of crystals (aka resin glands) on your buds. we'll see about that.

LEDs are very efficient for veg and last a long time in my experience, I got a 4x4 tent of bushy clones going under 120w. Flowering I'm not too sure as I only just bought some HPS for comparison.

If you got the money LEDs, otherwise just go for CFLs. Beware of the ripoff 'premium' LED lamps and the ebay sellers that lie about wattage.

im gonna go with cfls for now, i have some small leds that go in small circular reflectors, i might introduce them to my garden eventually but for now i only have $200ish to blow on grow equipment and im experienced with CFL's so for now im gonna stick with them just so i dont waste money on something that doesnt work.
