first time grower here...
i was wondering if you could tell me if my plant is coming along good or not...
not sure of the strain.. i have never used any sort of nutrient at all..only good potting soil..here are some pics...

the bottom budz seem to be growing alot slower than the top nugs.... why is this??

about how much longer before i cut them off???
and why are the bottom nugs growing so slow??
they are very small compared to the top nugs..

Your not going to hurt anything if you take a couple samples..But it is always better to be patient an let them grow..

Bottom flowers do not receive the same amount of light as the tops, therefore they grow and mature slower. That plant still has a good three to four weeks to go till it's near ready. I advise against cutting anything now as it will only stress the plant to try to repair what you cut, hence slowing the growth and maturing process.

so then the top nugz will be done first?.. after they get cut off then the bottom nugz should grow faster?

I've seen people hanging CFL's below the canopy - this could help even out the growth on the plant - you just have to find some regular fixtures that are attached to a chord & no stand, or make one yourself.

IMO I think you could cut off all the popcorn buds from the bottom without any ill effects. I did it on a couple of AK-48's that were 3 weeks into flower without anything bad happening. Shoulda done it to the rest of em.
