Need opinion, just a simple situation

Didn't mean to write that there, my fault. They don't run infront of cars at all, and them blowing through the stop sign doesn't effect the cats at all.. It's mainly the speeding aspect. I just felt like an idiot confronting the speeder after the fact, but I was really pissed off and wanted some thoughts on the matter. Thanks

Thanks for your comment. What do you mean about the police calling me? Growing up my dad taught me to be incognito, and keep a low profile.. I just felt weird about calling the cops, but I wouldn't do anything like you said about the cinder block. That could turn ugly real quick!

Well usually if you complain they ask for your name .....so let's say you complain on a Thursday ....and then take advice from me ...and then Friday a taxidermy cat loaded with many things causes a 4 car pile up and motorcyclist to disappear in front of your house .......the popo may just call you first ......and the cinder block thing was deceptively effective ....over kill even for my taste ....but funny and totally worth the effort ....not saying i would or wouldn't do it again just because I live in a quiet area and the wife and neighbor both know when there's a loud boom or any commotion, I'm usually involved......lol sounded like a helicopter crashed into my house at 3am ....lol ...GL

yah, the neighborhood where I grew up, I was always Suspect #1 for any loud thumping sounds.
 
I don't see any cinder blocks being used in the foreseeable future, but you never know right? I feel like I'll be the one getting pulled over out of this somehow, lose lose situation. Suprised there haven't been any major accidents.
 
Exactly, I could never do such a thing anyways. I care about them dearly, that's just how it is.

Spot on. OP, Never call unless you are willing to accept whatever local gov't will or won't do. They tend to be cumbersome, extremely inefficient about fixing stuff; remarkably though they are very efficient at finding a scapegoat or "interloper". Unless there is a history of wrecks due to speeding at that spot, calling labels you as a busybody and likely will be ignored. Their interest is piqued when a wreck then is cased by "abnormal" circumstances. Unfortunately, you have removed yourself as a solution unless you wish to take a very probable risk.
 
I ran over a cat with my '65 Toyota Landcruiser wagon going about 25mph late at night, the little devil ran right under my rear wheel. I pulled over and went back to see if there was anything I could do, but his head was all smashed-in and he was just flopping around in the street dying while the little bell around it's neck tinkled away merrily.
I picked it up and laid it in some tall grass by the side of the road.
 
I almost hit a cat today. I saw him and he's starting across the road, I slow and honk. He fucking stops, looks, processes for a few seconds and then freaks the fuck out and runs full speed back up his driveway. I expect to see him dead in the not far future. Too bad, he is a great looking cat
 
I got worried about one of my cats when they changed a stop sign to a traffic light near a rental property I have .......he's just an old tom cat ....but he's a rat killing machine and super traffic smart ......a lot of cats were getting creamed after they changed the stop sign to a light because the cars would be jamming through on a green .......he's still around after several years
