Need new grow room pump.

Don't really understand pumps. I need something capable of moving 5 gallons to 45 plants. I found a submersible pump capable of 500 GPH with a max height of 8 feet. Is that sufficient or no?

this pump will move 8.3 gallons per minute, 4 gallons in 30 seconds 2 gallons in 15 seconds, 1 in 7.5 seconds , roughly about a pint in a second.
about the time it would take to fill a pint glass from the water main at full on high pressure straight from the tap, if you could keep it in the glass that is,
so you see the pump will send the five gallons to the plants in roughly 35-40 seconds.
which is not bad if the pipe is sitting in a 5 gallon container,
that is uk spec 8 pints to the gallon though.

depends on what you are using it for, enlighten us.

it may be a little strong.

think how long you would want your pump to take to fill a pint glass, or gallon container, and then do the maths.



think how long it takes for a barman to pour a pint in a pub, not one second anyway, LOL.
he would get hammered for covering everybody in foaming ale.

It's for an automated watering system.
