Here's how you find an attorney. Go to the court where the case will be heard. Look up the docket the night before and go to the criminal court rooms. Then sit through some cases. At the break ask the bailiffs and court clerks who the heavy hitters criminal defense attorneys are. Do not give ANY information just ask for the best criminal defense attorneys.

They will give you names. Ask around until you reliably hear the same 2 to 3 names over and over. Make an appointment with those 2 or 3 guys and go interview them, tell them the specifics, do NOT lie no matter what, ask what their charges for this type of case is and what you can expect.

Go home think about their answers and hire the one you think best. Do NOT cheap out on this. You are trading money for your life. Expect to pay enough to make you gasp.
