But that's the thing I do use basalt? So I then I shouldn't be worried about silica??? But then again my buds aren't that big to the point that they shouldn't lay over and bend at the middle! But some do! Makes me think this strain can only used as either short or with some support i.e. tomatoe rack or some type of scrog net!
How old is your mix..? How many times recycled? Might still be not quite available or broken down yet? I amend my ROLS with rock dust (among a few other things) at the end of harvest. Thatz all the 'known' silica i add. My plantz seem ok.

Ok. How many rounds have you done with it? You re-amend at the end of every cycle right?

How many cups of total amendments do you mix per cu. ft?
Just curious, looking at your paper it looked like about 6 cups if I was reading it right?

Rice hull is mainly made up of silica. It breaks down over the grow nicely. I have recently switched to using a think layer of it for top dress as well. Love the stuff

Was just curious. I'm new to organics myself and like to hear how much others mix because I've heard a wide variety of amounts. I went with 3 cups for mine, hopefully it isn't too weak. Just transplanted into it maybe a week ago, so far so good though.
Sorry a little off topic.

Np a lot of good growers go by the saying less in more!!! You can always add more in through top dressing and watering it in! You can't take some out!!!

Yeah so far they've turned a solid green green but not too dark.

Is it common for people's super soils to last an entire flowering cycle without top dressing? That'd definitely be pretty nice

It really depends on how strong your mix is! As far as I have learned 80% maybe more all use top dressings! I personally like a Lil of everything teas, top dressings, coco n aloe, I've stopped doing sst it's just a Lil too much for me I forget when sprouting the seeds lol!

I am a little more up on battling pests. Never had spider mites but did have broad mites.

Edit: What all have you tried on your mites so far?

I have used neem oil last week and since things have Gotten wayyyy worst my girl looks like she's dying if it wasn't for the fact I don't wanna lose this pheno I would have killed it already! I just got some azamax and used the first treatment this morning!CM180530-190720001.jpg CM180530-190728002.jpg CM180530-190736003.jpg CM180530-190745004.jpg

I know for fact I have spider mites but i think I may have something else as well! Since my azamax cane in I also got some yellow sticky traps and have found a few small fly looking things that have wings and haven't been identified yet! Broad mites is also a concern but I don't know

I went ahead and harvested my entire flower room before the bugs got worst I just started noticing signs about 2 weeks ago and I'm pretty sure I caught it early most my flowering plants still look good so I'm not throwing out the harvest! But I need to get my veg back on track before I can flower anything else plus this gives me time to cover my entire flower room in bleach

My plants have never looked that bad which is why I'm questioning what I know and prolly gunna toss all soil and pots and plants and start over! Which I don't want to do but I don't know the cause of my issues and I have learned a lot over the years! A restart would cost me about 3-400 which I don't want to do! But of I can't see signs of this getting better over the next 2-3 weeks I may not have a choice I have baby seedlings less than a week old in the same disaster room and I'm scared to take them out of the clone dome thing! I really don't know what to do at this point! I'm just pissed and overwhelmed
