i have posted pictures of my new grow room that im building.

what should i cover the carpet with? panda film, plywood, nothing?

I personally poly the floor and all walls. Allot easier to control bugs and other contaminants.

Easy way is to just get some plywood and paint it flat white; same if not better reflectivity than mylar.

i just went to homedepot and got a big roll of thick plastic lining and covered the floor with it then duct taped and stapled it to the baseboard to seal off the carpet. piece of cake.

i did steam clean my carpet before hand to try and kill any mold or pests that might have been in there.

I'd go for the thick plastic sheeting (poly). It comes in white where I live, and in 100 inch rolls too, so they can easily cover the entire floorspace of reasonably sized grows. Run it in a couple of layers, and up about 6 inches on the walls of the grow area too. This makes it even more watertight.
Its super cheap too!

vct (vinyl composite tile) is great, its the white 12 x 12 tile as in the grocery, it's cheap, easy to install, and pretty much bullet proof after sealing
