need help

starting a small room with a 400 watt hps.i have a crawl space under my house.the problem is its winter in the north east.will it be to cold under there or will the light keep the plants warm enough.

depends on the outside temp... anything coming into your growroom from an intake under 25* is too cold.. the 400 w wont be strong enough

Depends on how small the space is. I'd presume that during the day the light can counter the cold from outside, but I'd worry about the nighttime temp... you don't want it dropping under 60F. Acceptable daytime temps are 65-80F and nighttime temps are 55-70F. Ideal are 70-80F and 65-70F.

Is this a mobile home crawl space or a stick build house crawl space?

or build a micro grow at least... pc case, cupboard, closet or cabinet all work perfectly...
