Mine at home and at my grow stay nice and perfectly moist. At home I use bluemats which keeps everything perfect since I’m always busy with the money makers. But a good rule of thumb is water when they feel light. Water from the bottom and when it’s all gone put a bit more in.

Looks like you have "Where to water" down. Circling around the plant like that helps the roots stretch. Watering from the bottom has the same effect. Pulls the roots down towards the food. I'd just keep that up. Water along the edges next. About a liter of water should bee good for that size plant, in that size pot.

if they were mine, i would find a bucket large enough to fit them into and put the plant pot in the bucket then add water to about half way up. being carefull that the medium isnt starting to float on the top f the warter level and give them a good soaking. then once all the medium is wet, go from there with the watering, the roots will be cruing out for someware to get food and it promotes a better root system and avoids dry spots/pockets in the medium. dont be afraid to get the mredium wet in the begining, nothing worse then roots trying to grow in to dry soil and dying
