You have 144 sq. feet so you need to change the air ever 1 to 2 minutes so you need a fan that will move 72 cf to change it every 2 minutes, 144 cf. to change every minutes. More is better but you can get to big. You also need a hole equal to the exit hole so new air can get in.

If you are going to attach a carbon scrubber to the exhaust fan it will reduce the efficiency of the fan. It will create a load to move. I would add another 100 cfm in order to compensate for the scrubber.

True ... and I would add another 300cfm to cool the room on hot days. Buy an extremely oversized inline fan and hook it up to this: http://aeroponicsnmore.com/climate-...an-speed-control-variable-idle-setpoint-p-181 That will operate your fan at "idle" speed (150cfm or whatever you set) until it gets too warm. Then it will kick up to warp speed and instantly cool your room without having to buy an AC. Works wonderful on my system!

No, that fan sucks fat waybows man. Ganja on a tight budget can only be done by an experienced gardener with a fat green thumb. Everyone else should be prepared to open their fuckn wallet or fail! I'm not tryin to be a dick, I just know that this hobby is expensive and that's a FACT.

I had one of those fans and was starting out on a budget. It moved some air but was nowhere near the rating they suggest. I was using it to cool a light and exhaust hot air from my flowering room. Six months later I bought a real Can Fan and it is the whip. Building on a budget can be a challenge and can cost you a bunch on upgrades.

Go get a couple of muffin fans at the flea market. (they use them in computers, there everywhere) Bigger is better.
