Need Help With Pruning Please!!

So I have read a few threads and as this is my first grow, i am interested in trying an advanced technique. At what point in time should i prune my plants ( i am planning on letting them grow to 18-24 inches before starting to flower). The plants are currently in their second week of vegetative growth and are at about 8 inches tall.

Any tips or good guides someone can point me too please? I suppose i am just looking for when and where i should prune.

Do you plan on taking clones from them?

I don't at all. They are clones themselves their sole purpose is for budding. After harvest they will be thrown away.

what kind of grow are you doing? sog, scrog, lst, or just normal? I would only prune the lower leaves in a scrog (lollipoping) because the light doesnt penetrate threw the foliage and turns all the lower buds sites into waisted nugs..and if some fan leaves are blocking light to lower bud sites at all..should be tucked and if you cant move out the way prune them off...Pruning isnt really necessary..doesnt help in certain situations tho..

Cut the lower quarter to third, depending what looks better on your plants. If the leaves on the bottom aren't going to get touched by much light, they're outta there. They will have few, and small, bud sites and the plant's energy would be better redirected up top to where all the big calyxes are swelling.
