Need help with power setting for PC fan

So I have a fan that was attached to an old PC power supply, and I'd like to use it as an exhaust fan. I looked up the fan model and it's rated around 45cfm, which should be sufficient for my needs at this time. It's a 12v fan, and the online specs say it's rated at 210mA. I have a 300mA Radio Shack power supply with variable voltage adjustment, which I'd like to use to power the fan.

I realize this is probably a really stupid question, but it's okay to use the higher amp power supply, right? There's no need to use a lower voltage setting to offset the higher amperage? The fan will only take its 210mA, rather than burning up or something, right? Right??

As a side note, it looks like this model of universal power supply was discontinued by Radio Shack a few years ago... the catalog number is 273-028, in case you have better luck finding info about it than I did.

Since no one replied, I'm going to assume it was a stupid question, and that I will be fine running that fan at 12v using my 300mA power supply.

It's a damn good question if you don't want fires. Obviously you care about that kind of thing. Yes, I have an old case fan (DC 5v). I use a RS AC to DC adapter & it's working fine. Always check the transformer for heat. Keep it cool as well as the plants
