need help with ph

would ne body know how to maintain the ph for my plants ? plus they look a little sick any body know whats going on ? there under a 400w lamp on 18 6 timer it hangs about 1 ft over the plants and the soil im using is miricle grow garden soil . obtw the ph read olmost 8 not there just yet :peace:

You want your run off to pH between 6.6 and 7.0, I believe. I KNOW that 8 is way high...... to maintain it.....you may need to buffer the soil but more than likely you've just been giving too high pHed water....
Nice clean little set-up! Watch getting moisture on the leafs when light are on....

looks a bit burnt from overwatering the MG soil to me. ease off on the watering and drop your ph to 6.5, thats a proper soil ph

How would i bring the ph in the water down? I ve been using just tap water but know ive boiled the water first and then water them (not at boiling temp , room temp) lol how would i be able to bring to6.5or 7 like u said ? Thanks btw and i just got that lamp today

There's pH Up and Down available at your hydro shop/grow store. Also there are things people use to do the same things. Like lemon bring it down...there are different things to use that you probably have. Maybe somebody will come by this that knows?? I just have always used the ph up and down solutions as I am hydro and deal with it every day practicly........
MG soil is not the choice of most mj growers as it has time released nutes in it that will burn the piss out of your girls........unless you used to using it, I guess, because some swear by it.......

for one thing that is way to much light, a cfl for a bit to get a good root base.

Hello 1st timer-
Use lemon concentrate to bring the pH down. I have the same problem as you with high pH, mine runs 8.0 too. I used Apple Cider Vinager during veg (cheaper), then switched to Lemon Concentrate during the flowering cycle because I didn't want my buds tasting like pickles from the A.C.V. I read a thread where a grower used A.C.V. to lower his pH and his buds tasted like pickles. I dont want that, and now from using the Lemon concentrate my buds and leaves have a lemonie sent to them, very tastie too!
I use two-thirds of a cup to 30 gallons of water and it bring the pH down to 6.5ish. Ferts will lower your pH too, so adjust your pH AFTER you add ferts.

i got that lemon stuff but 30 gal is a lot of water so i was just woundering how much i should use to fill a 3 or 5 gallon .
