Need Help With Germination

ive got my seeds germinating in the paper towel method and shot glass of water method. its been about 24 hours and all three seeds have just slightly begun to crack. is this normal timing? is it supposed to take more than 24 hours? whats the maximum time it should take?

also, when do i take them out and plant them? Im using a bubbleponic system, so my pot is a net pot with some river stones and rock wool cubes.

How do i care for the seeds once they sprout in a bubbleponic system? for example lets say the seed itself germinates until requiired characteristics are met (im not sure what those are exactly though, so could someone please paint the pcture for me please?), then what? do i just transplant them into the rock wool? should i have light? should i have the water running, or just maintain the a dampness in the rockweool? should i add any nutrients or wait a week? i remember reading that the bottom of the net pot should be touching the res water initially so that the bubbles splash water into the pot and wet the rockwool, helping keep it damp and also guidng the roots down to the res.

i could really use some help at this stage. im afraid i jumped into germinating too soon and kind of asked this stuff at the wrong time...shouldve asked before germinating. thanks though for any and all help

patience man! give it another day, 2 tops, and you'll have a little white tap root sticking out of the seeds, immediately put them, tap root down, in your rockwool cubes, not far, maybe 1/4" down and cover the hole with a little bit of ripped off rockwool. moisten them a little bit and you're good to go, another 2 or 3 days and they'll be sprouting

That is good advice, It can take up to 4 days for a seed to germinate(that's the old one's I'd saved from bags) so be patient and 1/4" is perfect. Wash your hand's before handling the seedlings and you'll be a great parent.:bigjoint::bigjoint::bigjoint:

do i give it any light once i transfer it to the rockwool though or do i wait till it officially has a sprout? also do i just use plain water to dampen it or nute it up? thanks a lot for the help dude i feel like this seed is a baby thats long overdue and im freaking out and scared that i might kill it somehow in someway lol. i cant even get go to sleep because im so anxious hahaha.

Wouldn't worry too much mate, give them time. My bloody nirvana northern light auto fems have taken over 3 days! 5 have been put into soil but the other 5 haven't even got roots yet! Normally 95% successful at germing, but i'm sure they'll come through.

i dont know where to start, youve asked a record TEN questions
give them a couple more days
carefully put them in damp not sat rw cube
straight under a cfl
dont fiddle around with germed seed
when watering dont saturate the cube, just wet it.

When you see the taproot put them tap root pointing down into the rockwood and yes you should have the pump running and when they sprout up they want and need light. Don't fed them any nutes until they have sprouted their second set of leaves.

I'd give it light to avoid any stretch when they come up. No nutes until they're 2-3 weeks in then 1/4 the strength for 1 week and slowly raise it.
