Need help, weird clear spots on leaves

I began noticing this about two weeks ago. The mid level fan leaves appear speckled with very small white rectangles and dots. There’s no browning or yellowing, just a random speckled pattern. The bottoms of the leaves are unaffected. When I look at the light passing through the bottom of the leaves, the spots seem to have a clear appearance. Also, I’m 100% certain it’s not bugs and it’s not mold. It just looks like the small spots with no pigment.

The only guess I have is a copper deficiency.

Any ideas?

it looks like spider mite damage dont cut them though. i dont cut unless the leaf is more then 75 percent dead or it is really infested

Thanks mcpurple, I pull out the magnifying glass again and endure the killer eye headache I’ll get.

You got it mcpurple, with my magnifying glass I can see these near microscopic light green almost maggot appearing bugs. And they seem to get around too.

if they look like maggots than it is not mites. i think what you got is thrips my freind. go to google and click on images and look up thrips. the damage also is what thrips do

This girl hasn’t had any luck from day one. Now I’m going to have to find some thrips predator mites ; )

a spray mite be better and faster. i always keep lady bugs in my gardens as preventer and eradicators i like using neem oil for bugs to. its all organic and works wonders for me
