Need help venting a small grow tent (pics)

Put filter outside of tent and have fan suck air out of room and blow into filter then your not losing any floor space.
I had read something about the difference between pushing or pulling air. Does it really matter?

I just have my filter on the floor in my tent. But someone last week was asking about venting and a few people said it's fine to blow into the filter. One person even suggested putting the white cloth on the inside of filter to help it last longer

There are reasons not to push through your filter but plenty people do. I've got mine hung up on the top rungs with the little velcro straps.. pro-tip.. get a variac voltage controller.. Ive got a 3x3 with a 6" and I can turn it waaaayyy down.. cant hear that shit with the door closed.

Hang the filter from the tent ceiling, put the fan outside the tent to lose no floor space and you're pulling through the filter for best results, good luck

Lower the light 6 inch and line your fan up with filter and minimum duct and have it above the light (not touching it)
Or like above said have your fan outside pulling through your filter, which is inside.
There is a reason why pulling through it is better. If you push through a filter then your not taking the heat out of the whole room, your just taking it out of the tent and pumping warm air into your room which will recirculate back into your tent.
If you suck through your filter then the outtake end of the ducting can be connected to a window, a chimney ect. You cant do that with the filter on the end, unless you want to hang a filter out of your window.. Or in rare cases you have an inline filter which you don't.
Anyway looks to me like you could line fan and filter up inside the tent, if you cant there is nothing wrong with having a 90degree bend.
Best way to ventilate is to remove that hot air entirely from the room so that the heat doesn't recirculate and fresh co2 laden air is pulled back into the room passively to replace that which is taken out.
Or like above said have your fan outside pulling through your filter, which is inside.

I wouldn't put it right above the light because if a plant grows tall you may have to raise the light and it would suck to have to move the filter halfway through the grow, good luck!

A couple people mentioned hanging the filter up high, but didn't explain why. The reason is because you want to be exhausting the hot air accumulating at the top of the tent. Another very important reason is because you want the air to flow from the intake vents, at the bottom of the tent, and have that cooler, fresh air flow through the plants on the way up to the filter. This will help circulate the air through some of the less accessible parts of the plants, like below the canopy where the circulation fans can't breeze the plants. Note the difference between the two types of fans, both of which are needed. The "exhaust fan" is what the filter connects to. "Circulation fans" are the small fans you clip on to the tent poles, to breeze the tops of the plants.
Also, I wouldn't push the air through the filter. Pushing air isn't as efficient as pulling. Consider mounting the fan outside the tent. Fans generate heat, and it's better to not add any additional heat to a space you're trying to keep cool. It also doesn't take up any space in your tent.
I would hang the filter from the ceiling poles towards the front of the tent, where you can reach it. Then only have the filter connected when the girls start to smell. This will remove the load on the fan, which will keep the fan running cooler, exhaust the tent more efficiently, and extend the life of the fan and filter. I usually just keep mine connected during the last few weeks of flowering.
